our wonderful Oldenburg mare, Revlon (Routinier), is currently
under contract for a custom foal in 2013!! She will be
bred this Spring to the imported KWPN Registered Dutch Warmblood
Stallion, Kaareltje. He is owned and loved by Firemist

sharing in the excitement with Shell! |

Our Mare Dubonnet’s In Utero Foal has
a 3-Way Bloodline match to the $1 Million Premium Champion Licensed
Stallion Sold at the Oldenburg Licensing/Auction in Vechta, Germany
 |
November, 2011 We are
excited to say that Dubonnet’s upcoming 2012 foal is very
closely related to the Premium and Champion Licensed Stallion
(#59), For Romance, who recently sold at the 2011 Oldenburg Stallion Days
Licensing/Auction in Vechta, Germany on November 19. He sold
for an amazing $750,000 EURO (over $1 Million U.S. Dollars)!!
This Stallion has a close 3-way bloodline match with our
Dubonnet’s upcoming foal, both on the top and bottom of the
pedigree: through the F line (Florestan I), the D line (Don
Shufro) and also through a very prominent mare line proven for
producing stallions, Loretta. She is an Elite mare held in the
highest regard who has sired the well known “Hit” line of
successful stallions such as Sandro Hit, Diamond Hit and Royal
Hit. See our Sales page for
more info. |

Our Mare Dubonnet's Grandsire, Don Schufro, Proves Once Again to
be an Extraordinary Sire!!
 |
October, 2011
MarKim Farms congratulates Heather Blitz and
her 8-year-old Don Schufro son, Paragon, for their outstanding
achievement of Team Gold and Individual Silver at the 2011 Pan
American Games in Mexico!! We are especially excited as our
mare, Dubonnet, is by the Don Schufro son, Diamond Hit,
half-brother to the great Paragon. Please visit our Sales
page for information about Dubonnet, her exciting upcoming
2012 foal, and recently updated pictures of Quater Hit, her
fantastic 2011 colt by Quaterback. Quater Hit's new
owner states, "It was specifically because of Paragon that I
went looking for something from Don Schufro. And I found
exactly what I wanted at MarKim Farms five days after he was
born: my Don Schufro great grandson Quater Hit, by
Quaterback. 'Q-Tip' has been a complete delight, with his
calm, laid-back, relaxed and friendly personality. He has
been exposed to goats, a pig named Petunia, and lots of people
and big barn parties and absolutely nothing fazes him!
He also looks to be carrying on the Don Schufro height gene
and appears likely to mature at over 17 hands. I could not be
happier!"
|

Quater Hit rated Premium at his
Oldenburg Inspection!!
 |
September, 2011 Quater Hit successfully
achieved Premium status at his ISR/Oldenburg NA inspection on
September 1, 2011. The judges expressed an interest in
monitoring his development and would like to see him again at
age two as a possible stallion prospect.
Quater Hit will be departing to his new home in Holly,
MI this month. His owners, Dan and Kerrie Gellings, are
thrilled with him and they look forward to taking him home and
managing his future growth and development. We look
forward to updates as he matures! |

Quater Hit - Sold to his new home
in MI!!!
 |
May, 2011 We would like to congratulate Kerrie
and Dan Gellings of MI on their purchase of our fantastic 2011
colt, Quater Hit (Quaterback/Diamond Hit/Roemer)!! We celebrated
in style with champagne and chocolate cigars :)
Kerrie has big plans for Quater Hit as her next Grand Prix
dressage prospect. We think he is also a potential stallion
prospect and
will wait to see how he does at his foal inspection. If he
is a stallion candidate, we have high hopes that he will be
successfully raised as a stallion prospect and pursue licensing
as a 3 or 4 year old.
Watch for them in the show ring and breeding shed! They
will be making headlines! |

Welcome our new Oldenburg mare -
Revlon!!
 |
April, 2011 We are happy to introduce our
new Oldenburg mare, Revlon. She is by the popular
stallion, Routinier (Rhodiamont/Inschallah/Zeus). Revlon
has a wonderful temperament and fantastic gaits. At age 6, she
has already produced 2 premium foals. One by Starlight and
another by Benetton Dream.
Revlon will be put into training and will become my
personal dressage horse. Not sure how long we can wait,
but our plans are to breed her to Diamond Hit and Quaterback in
the future. So excited about these crosses....but I really
want to ride her and enjoy her first! Look for her in the
show ring!! |

sad loss of our prized broodmare, Graziella. She was out
of the great stallion, Rubinstein I. Her damsire was the
amazing foundation stallion, Furioso II. She is
irreplaceable. Fortunately, she has left her wonderful
foals to follow in her footsteps and continue her legacy.
She will be greatly missed and we will cherish the wonderful
memories that we have had with her. |
