Quaterback is a noble stallion with tremendous magnetism and charm and with his unbelievably accentuated movements he enthralls his audience at every event. He also has very correct conformation as well as excellent interior values. His foal crops have been impressively consistent; he passed his brilliant movement, round, strong type with good topline, and especially open characters.
Quaterback uses his body as nothing you have ever seen. He is the talk of the town in Germany, with movements that can only be described as incredibly supple, strong and uphill.
Lineage Quaterback's sire is the beautiful stallion, Quaterman, whose movement is ground covering with a massive amount of reach. Quaterman qualified for the Finals of the Bundeschampionat in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Quaterman's grand dam is Poesie, who produced World Champions Poetin and Samba Hit I, II, and III. Poetin was Bundeschampion 2000, Reserve Bundeschampion 2001, World Champion 2003, Bundeschampion 2003 and sold for a world record amount of 2.5 million euros at PSI Auction 2003.
Quaterman Quaterman shows the athletic ability and versatility of his sire line, and is by Quando-Quando, the excellent dressage competition stallion that Christy Oatley-Nist rides. His sport successes include participation in the Bundeschampionate finals for 5 and 6 year old dressage horses, 5th place at the World Championships in the class for 6 year old dressage horses as well as 5th place at the Nürnberg Burgpokal 2003, prior to which he won the VTV Dressage Stallion of the Year Award. With first places in international Grand Prix in 2004 and winning World Cup B finals in Dortmund, he was then nominated for the Olympic Games in Athens. His off-spring are very popular because of their modern, noble looks, outstanding ridability and strong movements and the good jumping ability his pedigree promises. All of these characteristics are impressively documented in the FN's 2004 Predicted Breeding Value statistics.
