Sagnol
|
SAGNOL is a very modern type stallion who is not only extremely well bred, but is also an outstanding individual on his own merit. He is a strikingly beautiful stallion with three outstanding gaits and superior athletic ability. Sagnol was bred at the top Stud Farm Zuchthof Helle and stood two seasons at Ludwig Kathmann stallion station in Holtrup, Germany before being imported to North America in 2006. Sagnol’s first foal crop was very well received in Europe, and his foals been stamped with very modern type, very beautiful faces and necks, correct conformation, elastic and athletic movement.
This year is his first foal crop here in North America. MarKim Farms is proud to introduce his first filly of 2007, San Bella! Sagnol comes from the famous Holstein mare line 776, the legendary Ramiro line that never ceases to produce great highlights such as the sires Acorado, Calvados, Cortino, Lordanos or Rouletto. A countless number of his off-spring are active in top level sport. The Holstein sires, Fantast and Colt in particular, ensure a willingness to perform and the Thoroughbred stallions, Frivol xx, Cottage Son xx and Anblick xx add refinement and toughness to his pedigree. Sagnol brings two very important and highly sought after bloodlines to North America which are Sandro Hit, his sire, and Landadel, his damsire.
Sandro Hit
Sagnol's famous sire, SANDRO HIT, needs little introduction. He is the World Champion in dressage and winner at the German Federal Championships in Warendorf. "Best Young Stallion 2000" is just one of the many titles he has won. He is probably the most popular sire in the world right now because of his outstanding off-spring. His daughter, Poetin, current Bundeschampion in dressage, sold for 2.5 million Euro at the PSI auction and is just the tip of the iceberg of his exclusive off-spring. Landadel
Sagnol's damsire, Landadel, was champion of his 100 day test at Medingen in 1985. He passed away in 1996 but during his time he was a very popular and successful stallion abroad. He was a rare stallion who sired top dressage as well as top jumping progeny.
Landadel is regarded as the most important son of the legendary Landgraf and is known for transmitting type, nobility, movement and jumping. Even after his death, his sons and daughters continue to leave a permanent mark on Oldenburg sport horse breeding.
