Graziella (Rubinstein I/Furioso II) is a liver chestnut GOV mare with impeccable bloodlines.  She was sired by the legendary Rubinstein I out of the States Premium (SPS) Mare Glaeddis (FuriosoII).  Graziella (Grace) was born 1997 and imported from Germany in 2000.

Graziella had an impressive show career at Training and First Levels.  She won the 3 year old mare Materiale Class at Devon.  As a 4 and 5 year old, Graziella qualified for and placed well in Regional Finals classes and won several Materiale and Suitability classes.  She has produced 3 GOV premium foals and will be bred to only the top international champion premium stallions.  We breed to the best and look forward to her future offspring.

Rubinstein I was a son of Rosenkavalier who was a stallion performance test winner and is considered to be one of the most significant Westphalian sires today.  Rubinstein was reared from probably the most eminent dressage dynasty worldwide and was given the title, “Stallion of the Century”.  He had 40 wins at Grand Prix level, was a member of the 1996 Olympic team, sired 89 state premium mares and 66 approved stallions and was the father of top auction horses and Grand Prix winners. 

Rubinstein is known for passing on his wonderful temperament and movement.  Offspring by him are frequently sought after by professionals and amateur riders alike for their willingness to please, and Graziella is no exception.

Graziella’s damsire, Furioso II, was the 1968 Champion of his Stallion Testing in Germany.  Furioso II became known as the “Stempel Hengst”, or "Stamp Stallion", because his offspring got his ‘very good feet and legs, his outstanding neck and shoulder, striking dappled chocolate chestnut coat with flaxen tail and white markings’.  From 1979-1989, Furioso II was the No.1 stallion in Germany based on money earned by his progeny.  In 1990, he was still the leading sire of Dressage horses.

Merle Lindt was Stud Manager at the famous Gestuet Vorwerk Stud  in Cappeln, Germany.  She earned a degree in Equine Reproduction and has been practicing her vocation for many years.  Merle has extensive experience with Rubinstein I breeding and we valued her expertise and help in the acquisition of Graziella.

Gestuet Vorwerk, one of the most famous stud farms in Germany, combines age-old traditions and horse wisdom with modern technology.  The Stud has had a tremendous influence in developing the modern Oldenburg with foundation sires Inschallah, Zeus and Furioso II. 

One of the Stud's crowning achievements was Rubinstein I, sire of such great stallions as Rohdiamant and Relevant, as well as the sire of our mare Graziella.
